Alizée Clavaud develops multidisciplinary work weaving together painting, photography, installation and poetry. In her work, intimacy bursts open and confronts the world and the warmth of the outside. Images cross and overlap like the loading stages of an inner server, electronic, overflowing, saturated with memory.

Through collage, photographic transfer and editing, she transforms, hides, reveals and reinvents figures and faces. She creates relics. Poetry runs through it all.

Her universe is built between two waters: the aquatic one, of memory and childhood, swimming pools, seasides, summers returning in acid colours, and the electronic one, a world saturated with images and machine language. The painted and photographed figures float between these two currents, until they become something other than a simple memory.

Poetry has infused this work from the very start, until becoming its own language: that of Chaos100, a collection born before the image, whose words, "Juptur et Nepter", later took shape in painting and video. Painting, photographing, writing: three ways of saying the same thing: reshaping the world and our images, recharging files or recharging by bathing, playing and remembering, might be one and the same way of resisting.
